CBD Full Spectrum Peppermint Oil

This may be our favorite creation in the kitchen so far! This is a warm peppermint holiday spin on the classic Bulletproof coffee! If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past few years, you have probably heard of Bulletproof coffee. But if you don’t know, Bulletproof coffee is a high-calorie coffee drink intended to replace breakfast.  This is popular amongst Ketogenic dieters because of its high fat content. We are renting a cabin in the mountains with family and I have every intention of making bulletproof coffee for the entire household on Christmas morning. There’s no better way to start a morning with your loved ones than a peppermint holiday coffee, soft Christmas music, and the movie Elf playing in the background while everyone slowly wakes up to a (fingers crossed) white Christmas.

This recipe includes cacao powder and pure maple syrup which, believe it or not, are two superfoods enriched with antioxidants. Cacao has been used as medicine in ancient civilizations and has many healing qualities. Cacao is loaded with polyphenols, which reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure, and improve blood sugar levels. Polyphenols may also reduce your risk of neurodegenerative diseases and may improve blood flow to your brain. So, remember this the next time someone says chocolate isn’t healthy!  Although, pure cacao is much different than your “over the counter” chocolate you usually find at most stores. Make sure you are getting cacao and not cocoa; two very different things!

Maple syrup will bring the natural sweetness. In every teaspoon of maple syrup there is: magnesium, zinc, calcium, riboflavin, and potassium. Remember maple syrup next time as a “healthier” way to make a recipe sweet.

This morning delight is for your quiet holiday season morning. Sip this festive cup o’ joe while you’re donning matching onesies with your spouse (or dog), curled up on the couch.
