THCa Flower
What Is THCA Flower?
THCA flower is a hemp flower that contains high levels of tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), the raw, acidic form of THC. THCA is not intoxicating on its own, but it converts into delta-9 THC when you heat it. That heat-driven change is called decarboxylation, and it happens when you smoke, vape, or cook with the flower. This is why our THCA flower looks, smells, and smokes like the cannabis flower you already know, while still meeting the current federal hemp definition at the time of testing. How to read our lab reports: About 87.7% of THCA's weight converts to THC when heated. For example, a strain that tests at 25% THCA yields roughly 21.9% THC once it is heated (25 × 0.877). We list the THCA percentage on every product page, so you never have to guess.THCA vs. THC vs. CBD: What Is the Difference?
The main difference is how much delta-9 THC and THCA each flower contains, and that decides where you can legally buy it. Here is how we break the three down for you:| Flower Type | Cannabinoid Content | Intoxicating When Heated? | Where You Can Buy It |
| THCA flower (hemp) | High THCA, no more than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight | Yes | Online or in stores, in states where it is compliant |
| THC flower (marijuana) | More than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight | Yes | State-licensed dispensaries only; cannot ship across state lines |
| CBD flower (hemp) | High CBD, very low THCA and THC | No | Online or in stores, in most states |
Is THCA Flower Legal?
Yes, THCA flower is federally legal today in states that follow the current hemp definition, but that definition changes on November 12, 2026. Here is the rule we work under, and what is changing for you. Today: The 2018 Farm Bill defines hemp as cannabis containing not more than 0.3% delta-9 THC on a dry-weight basis. Because THCA is not counted under this definition, high-THCA flower can qualify as hemp. Starting November 12, 2026: The federal hemp definition will move to a total-THC standard that counts THCA toward the 0.3% limit. Most high-THCA flower will not meet that standard. We will update this page, our product lineup, and our shipping policy before that date. State rules: Some states already use a total-THC standard, and a few have restricted or banned THCA products outright. That is why we check your state before we ship. For our Georgia customers: Georgia SB 494 applies a total-THC calculation (THCA × 0.877 + delta-9 THC) that high-THCA flower does not meet, and it restricts retail sales of raw hemp flower. You can read our full breakdown in our guide to THCA law in Georgia. We ship only to states where our products are compliant, and we ask you to check your state and local rules before you order. You must be 21 or older to purchase from us.Our Quality Tiers: Smalls, Premium, and Exotic
ATLRx sorts its THCA flower into three tiers: Smalls, Premium, and Exotic. Your budget is your own, so here is what each tier gives you:- Smalls: Smaller-structured buds from the same growers, tested the same way as our full-size flower. You get lab-tested genetics at a lower price per gram, which makes Smalls ideal for grinding and rolling.
- Premium full buds: Buds we hand-select and trim for density, trichome coverage, and aroma. This is our premium THCA flower for you if you care about bag appeal as much as the numbers.
- Exotic strains: Our exotic lineup features sought-after genetics, including Papaya Punch THCa Flower, Guava Cookie THCa Flower, Trop Cherry THCa Flower, and Subzero THCa Flower. These are our top-shelf, high-THCA picks, and stock rotates as new batches arrive.
- Indoor: Grown in climate-controlled rooms to produce dense, frosty buds.
- Greenhouse: Blends natural sunlight with environmental control.
- Outdoor: Sun-grown and typically lower in price per gram.
How to Choose the Best THCA Flower Online
To choose the best THCA flower, check the lab report first, then match the strain, aroma, and size to how you plan to use it. Finding your best flower is less about the biggest number and more about the right fit. Here is what we recommend you check:- Open the Certificate of Analysis (COA). Every ATLRx strain links to a third-party COA. Look for the THCA percentage, the delta-9 THC result, the testing lab, the batch ID, and the test date, then match the batch ID to the jar you receive.
- Check the appearance. Quality buds have vibrant color, visible trichome coverage, and a tight, well-cured structure.
- Read our aroma notes. We describe each strain by its dominant profile: gas, fruit, candy, earth, cream, or citrus. A strong, distinct scent signals a rich terpene profile.
- Match your strain type. We list indica-dominant, sativa-dominant, and balanced hybrid strains on every product page, so you can shop by preference and time of day.
- Pick your size. We offer 1g samples on select strains, plus 3.5g, 7g, 14g, and 28g jars. Start with an eighth, then size up once you find a strain you like.
- Know whether it is infused. Infused THCA flower is coated or rolled in concentrate to raise its potency. We clearly label infused products, so you always know whether the COA percentage reflects the bud itself.

How Should You Store THCA Flower?
Store your THCA flower in an airtight, UV-resistant glass jar in a cool, dark place between 60 and 70°F. This keeps your buds fresh, flavorful, and potent for longer.- Skip plastic bags. They create static that pulls trichomes off your buds.
- Keep it out of the refrigerator. Temperature swings and moisture can lead to mold.
- Add a two-way humidity pack for long-term storage. It keeps your flower from drying out.
