If you're looking to buy wholesale cannabis you can legally carry, it helps to know the difference between hemp and marijuana. That difference affects your license, your shipping options, and your customers. Under current federal law, hemp cannabis is Cannabis sativa L. with no more than 0.3% delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis. Starting December 11, 2026, that limit counts total THC, including THCA. Marijuana is the same plant species above the legal limit. It remains a federally controlled substance, so bulk marijuana and wholesale marijuana can only be sold through licensed programs in states that allow it. ATLRx does not sell either one. So when you see terms like cannabis wholesale or bulk cannabis online, check the fine print. Reputable suppliers of wholesale cannabis products made from hemp will clearly state the cannabinoid, the source, and the THC content, and they will publish third-party lab results.Lab Testing and Quality You Can Show Your Customers
Your customers trust you to stock quality products. We make that easy to back up.- Third-party testing: Our products are tested by an independent third-party lab.
- COA access: Visit our Lab Results page to review test results before you order.
- Clear labeling: Products list the cannabinoid and the amount per piece, so your staff can answer questions with confidence.
- Made in the USA: Every product in this collection is produced in the United States.
2026 Compliance: Federal and State Rules to Watch
Hemp rules are changing fast, and staying compliant protects your store. Here's what every wholesale buyer should keep on their radar.- Federal changes: Congress has passed a new federal definition of hemp. It measures total THC, including THCA, and caps final hemp products at 0.4 milligrams of total THC and similar cannabinoids per container, meaning the innermost package that touches the product. After a stopgap law signed on September 2, 2026, delayed the start date, most of these changes are scheduled to take effect December 11, 2026, unless Congress acts again. Products containing cannabinoids the plant can't produce naturally lose federal hemp status earlier, on November 12, 2026. Anything above these limits will no longer qualify as hemp under federal law, so plan your inventory and reorder timing with both dates in mind. For the full details, see the Congressional Research Service summary.
- State rules: Several states restrict or ban certain cannabinoids, and some set their own packaging, labeling, and potency limits. ATLRx does not ship restricted products to states where they aren't allowed. You can see those restrictions by cannabinoid in the Shipping Restrictions section on this page, or select your state to view products available in your area.
- Age rules: Our products are for adults 21 and older. We recommend checking ID at the register for every hemp sale, even in states that set a lower minimum age.

Live Resin vs Distillate: Which One Is Right for You?
Live resin vs distillate comes down to one trade-off: flavor or potency. Live resin is made from fresh, flash-frozen hemp, so it keeps more natural terpenes and has a richer, strain-true taste. Distillate is made from dried hemp and refined into a nearly pure, flavorless cannabinoid oil. In general, distillate is more potent and costs […]
