CBD Massage Bars
We love a good thoughtful Valentine’s gift and this one is so easy to make yourself!
Today we are making homemade CBD massage bars which feel great following a bath or shower. The main ingredients are shea & cocoa butter which will leave your skin silky smooth. If you are experiencing any soreness, muscle aches, or just love smelling like chocolate, these are particularly amazing to add to your self care routine.
You probably already know cocoa butter is a main ingredient in most skin moisturizers, but did you know that cocoa butter is a type of fat that comes from processing cocoa beans? These fats may help form a protective layer on the skin, preventing moisture from escaping, and therefore stopping the skin from drying out. It is also the primary ingredient of chocolate, and many people use it as a topical treatment for its moisturizing effects. It has a rich texture that melts into skin on contact. As peppermint also soothes, we decided to add ATLRx peppermint tincture.
We also tossed in some coffee beans that will stimulate the senses and add an extra massage element.
6 tbs cocoa butter
1 tbs shea butte
5 droppers of ATLrx Peppermint tincture
Silicone heart shaped molds
Melt the cocoa butter and shea butter in a double boiler
Take double boiler off the heat and add ATLrx peppermint
Distribute coffee beans at the bottom of the silicone molds and pour mixture evenly over top.
Let sit overnight.
Gift to your friends, use on yourself, or surprise your partner during their next back rub!
